Tessa Wilson (Dallas, Texas, b. 1996)
Tessa Wilson is a dimensional artist exploring the depths of her being through multiple mediums. Her current series Rug Distortions (oil on canvas) came about from her exposure and fascination of antique carpets while working as the Gallery Manager at Farzin Rugs, Inc. from 2019-2022 in the Dallas Design District. In this work, the historic pieces take on a new role acting as a catalyst for expression as seen through the hidden messages intertwined amongst the distorted patterns.
